What's the best software to use for book editing?
I recommend using the Reedsy Book Editor for formatting your book. Here's why:
- It's a free, web-based tool that's easy to use.
- It can handle both e-book and paperback formatting.
- It automatically creates a Table of Contents for you.
- The software allows you to easily insert images into your book.
- It produces professional-looking results without requiring advanced design skills.
To use the Reedsy Book Editor:
- Go to the Reedsy website and create an account (if you haven't already).
- Start a new book project in the Reedsy Book Editor.
- Import your manuscript or write directly in the editor.
- Use the built-in formatting tools to structure your book (chapters, headings, etc.).
- When you're done, you can export your book in the appropriate formats for e-book and paperback publishing.
I cover this in detail in Week 11 of the Accelerator program. If you have any specific questions about using the software, please reach out for support by emailing support@punchybooks.co.
