How do I request and prepare for my 1-on-1 session with Matt?
1-on-1 Sessions with Matt
If you qualified for the Fast-Action Bonus by purchasing during the Masterclass, you are eligible for a 1-on-1 session with Matt to help you get unstuck on a specific issue in your book-writing process.
Important Update: Due to scheduling constraints, Matt is no longer offering open calendar bookings for 1-on-1 calls. Instead, these sessions now require manual scheduling and will be conducted in the format that best serves your specific need - this may be a live call, a personalized video response, or a detailed written response.
How to Request Your Session (if you qualify)
To ensure Matt can provide the most valuable guidance possible, please fill out our 1-on-1 Session Request Form with the following information:
- Your primary sticking point - What is the single decision or problem you want to resolve? (One sentence)
- Your desired outcome - What specific result would make this session successful for you? (For example: choosing between two options, confirming a direction, or identifying a clear next step)
- Your current progress - Where are you in the process? Be concrete about what is already written, outlined, researched, published, or completed
- What you've already tried - What have you attempted or decided so far related to this question?
Once Matt reviews your submission, we'll follow up with next steps. Depending on your situation, he may schedule a live call, respond with a personalized video, or provide a detailed written answer - whatever format will give you the clearest path forward.
Important: Fast-Action Bonus sessions must be requested by February 16, 2026. After this date, we will no longer be accepting new session requests.
Getting the Most Value from Your Session
Before requesting your session, we recommend:
- Complete at least Week 1 - Many students find Weeks 4-6 to be the optimal time
- Review the "1-on-1 Coaching Call Preparation" materials in your dashboard
- Identify your biggest obstacle - Focus on the one thing holding you back most
- Have your Book Compass ready - Be prepared to discuss your book's core concept and target audience
- Be specific - The more context you provide upfront, the more targeted Matt's guidance can be
Remember: This is designed to help you overcome your primary challenge and move forward with confidence. Come prepared with a clear question, and you'll get a clear answer.
